Meet Rebecca Desir
Rebecca Desir, an award-winning public health practitioner from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, is currently the Senior Manager of Community Advocacy at AdventHealth Central Florida. Dedicated to health equity in Black communities, she founded the nonprofit Black Health Commission and organizes the annual BLK JOY Festival. Rebecca has received recognition such as Orlando Business Journal's 40 under 40 and was a finalist for Orlando Sentinel's 2023 Central Floridian of the Year. Active in her community, she serves on the boards of The LGBTQ+ Center Orlando and the Center for Thriving Communities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, attending music events, and hosting game nights.
