Meet Zainab Shipchandler
As a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, Zainab is passionate about bridging the gap between communities and organizations that develop health education and health promotion programs. Zainab holds a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a minor in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University. As the Lead Consultant of her company ZRF Group Inc., Zainab works with public health organizations and the communities they serve to develop materials that meet the needs of all collaborators, from organizational leadership and staff to community leaders and, most importantly, end-users. ZRF Group identifies health education needs, reviews existing materials & data, co-develops content, and pilots developed materials. Zainab and her team are especially enthusiastic about how health literacy, including public health data and digital health literacy, can promote health equity. Her team is also interested in bolstering maternal and child health with culturally tailored approaches.
